Today, we were honored to host 50 students on holiday through the Northern Kenya Running Club, our vibrant athletics club based at Ilpolei Secondary and Ilpolei Comprehensive.
Our goal is to positively engage young people during the long holiday and keep them safe from harmful practices such as FGM, early pregnancies, drug abuse and sexually transmitted infections. Over the next 14 days, we will continue working closely with these students as part of our holiday empowerment program.
This initiative also marks our participation in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Each morning, the students take part in a run, and throughout the day they receive mentorship and motivation from various invited speakers.
We are proud to stand with our youth—building confidence, protecting their rights, and strengthening our community.
