Welcome to IWACO-KENYA

Founded in 2023 IWACO is a community-based organization in Laikipia County-Kenya duly registered under the Ministry of Labour, Social Security, and Services as a Community-Based Organization in 2024.

Mitigating climate change is part of our programmes. This can be achieved through collaborating with women and youth groups to foster sustainable practices and alternative livelihoods. Initiatives like land restoration, beekeeping, and product value addition not only contribute to environmental conservation but also create economic opportunities for local communities.

Indigenous Women and Children Organization-Kenya

The Organization seeks to assist, enable, and empower women, children, and communities in a bid to stop gender-based violence and improve their lives, where every woman has psycho-social welfare.

Mission

To contribute to the process of promoting safety to women and children and improving their quality of life through economic empowerment and promotion of their fundamental rights and freedom of and most especially for the marginalized communities in Kenya with a priority of Laikipia County.

Vision

Champion for a nation where every woman and child enjoys their human rights and is safe from gender-based violence (GBV) and any other form of injustice.
